Segment 2: BIG Topic - One That Got Away: Charlie Lindgren
Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes are dedicated to ushering in a new era in the evolution of the Montreal Canadiens particularly in the area of player development. Hughes has committed to putting the resources and supports in place to develop more positive relationships with players to (quote) "get the best out of everyone" and have "everyone pulling together."
Pulling together in the same direction wasn't the case during the tenure of Marc Bergevin. The development of many promising prospects was stunted or left unfulfilled until they moved to other organizations.
Charlie Lindgren had a stellar season in 2021-22 with the St Louis Blues organization including impressive wins over the Canadiens and the Laval Rocket. In the off-season, Lindgren signed a three-year, $3.3M contract with the Washington Capitals.
Exclusive interview Rocket Sports with Washington Capitals goaltender Charlie Lindgren.
