Roster news - Canadiens have signed forward Riley Kidney to a three-year, entry-level contract. Goaltending prospect Frederik Dichow has signed with Frolunda HC (SHL) for the 2022-23 season. Defenseman Dmitri Kostenko signed a two-year contract with Spartak Moscow (KHL.)

Habs prospect report - Laval Rocket first round playoff series is underway with Syracuse. Trois Rivieres Lions have been eliminated from the playoffs. The Newfoundland Growlers defeated the Lions in the North Division semifinals. NHL Central Scouting has published it's final rankings ahead of the NHL Entry Draft on July 7-8 in Montreal. Habs news and notes: Sean Farrell and Jordan Harris will represent the United States at the IIHF World Hockey Championship. Hockey Canada announced that the 2023 World Junior Hockey Championship will be played in Halifax and Moncton. Gary Bettman says that the NHL has no interest in expanding the playoffs. The NHL's salary cap will bump up to $82.5 million for the 2022-23 season, rising for the first time since 2019-20, but not for the Montreal Canadiens.
