Roster news - Canadiens prospect Otto Leskinen has signed a two-year deal with Frolunda (SHL). Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen is not a finalist for the King Clancy Trophy. Finalists are Ryan Getzlaf (ANA), Darnell Nurse (EDM) and P.K. Subban (NJD). Canadiens goaltender Carey Price was selected as one of the three finalists for the Bill Masterton Trophy.

The off-season will be a busy one for Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes. Building a defence corps that provides opportunities for the Canadiens young defencemen while supporting them with experience will be a tough task.

In addition to putting together a group of defencemen, Gorton and Hughes must free up salary cap space. Jeff Petry and the contract of Shea Weber provide prime opportunities for additional cap space. They will be priorities to trade. Who can be signed as a free agent?
